Monovision Treatment
Briefly about the monovision procedure: The main point of the monovision treatment is that the two eyes are treated in a different way:
• the cornea of dominant eye is reshaped to allow you to see distant targets sharply
• the other eye is left untouched to allow you to see near targets well
These features of the two eyes will allow you to see both distant and near targets well.
How Is My Vision Improved?
Your vision is improved with the use of DiamondFEMTO laser. The flap is created with the most modern and most precise femto laser of Hungary then the excimer laser reshapes the cornea.
Treatment
During the first examination, among others we test the special ability of the eye to accommodate. The surgical intervention can be carried out in 3 or 4 days after the examination. Multifocal Intraocular Lens Implantation
About Lens Implantation
During this intervention the eye lens is removed, and it is replaced by a plastic lens. Lens implantation is similar to cataract surgery. The difference is that at ur Ophthalmology Centre you can select a special lens that will allow you to see both distant and near targets well after the surgery. Today cylindrical, multifocal lenses are also available. Our ophthalmologist and the patient will choose the best solution together. The health condition of your eye, as well as your lifestyle and habits have to be considered for this.
About The Treatment
An extensive examination is needed before the surgery, then you and your ophthalmologist will decide together on which lens type to choose. The surgery is an outpatient surgery, anaesthesia happens with eye drops. The surgery itself lasts for only 10-15 minutes then you have to rest for 1 or 2 hours. Following this we examine you and you can walk home to rest until the first control visit.
