Dr. Attila Nagymihály

I graduated from the University of Medicine in Szeged in 1995 and I worked at the Ophthalmology Clinic of Budapest for 15 years. Now as the Executive Medical Director of the Ophthalmology Centre my task is to provide the conditions for professional work according to the highest standards.

His main special fields are lens surgeries, refractive surgery and tear drainage system surgeries. As an innovative eye surgeon, he uses the most modern surgical techniques in complicated cases as well. He performed his first refractive surgical intervention in 1996. He has done more than five thousand cataract surgeries within the frames of overnight surgery, and he was among the first ones in Hungary who used multifocal and toric artificial lenses. Within the frames of professional further training he spent a relatively long time in Rostock, where he studied cell level changes of the cornea after LASIK surgeries, as well as in New Orleans, where he conducted research related to the composition of tear. Dr. Nagymihály fluently speaks English.
